Correct connections electric window switches

Does anyone has a wiring diagram for S2 electric windows? I have been using the wiring schematic from M. Gillies 2019 but I noticed that no wiring is showing for windows. I have disconnected the centre console switches without taking a record but I could do with an understanding of the wires in any case.

Hi Jeremy, there is quite a lot of info around about the window circuits - most people are adding relays as otherwise the switches are taking a lot of current and the windows work poorly. However to understand where you are starting from take a look at the attached PDF from Chad's wonderful wiring book. This is actually for the S1 but I think for the windows the circuit diagram is the same (but I could be wrong).

Potential Alternator Upgrade

I saw this on FaceBook and quite interested to try it myself too to see if it really fits… (disclaimer—I have no idea if it works or fits at time of writing…)

Anyone wanting to upgrade their charging system, a Mitsubishi (Starion 2.6L and others) 75A internally regulated alternator MD125569 fits with only small modifications and the V-belt will line up perfect.

1. Trim back-inner surface of Mitsubishi alternator mounting ear a small amount and the unit will perfectly fit over the OEM Lancia Scorpion Oil Filter Housing bracket.

2. Drill out the alternator for larger diameter [Fiat] mounting pivot bolt, and this includes modifying or finding some hollow dowel pin to fit both the larger diameter bolt and the alum. mounting ear on backside, possibly drilling on both to make appropriate.

3.Use washers and large nuts as spacers where needed. The 180° mounting ear just needs a ~10.8mm thick…

Earth points

I’m having some electrical issues with my S2. Sometimes when I turn the key the car is completely dead. If I try again the car comes back to life. Sometimes while I’m driving along, the Rev Counter needle jumps around and the car begins to run roughly (stutters). Again, if I switch off and start up again, all goes back to normal for a while. I’ve been told that I should start by checking the Earth points and was hoping that someone could tell me where these are.

So cleaning the earth points that I could find, cleaning and tightening the connections on the coil and altinator and cleaning the relay connections, seems to have resolved these issues. Thanks for all of your help gents.
