 have reluctantly decided to advertise my 1978 S1 Spyder for sale, as I have my daughters impending wedding to pay for, and I’m also considering another car at the moment. I’ve owned this car since October 2023, and have spent a lot of time and effort ( and not to mention money!) making the car super reliable and also getting the car to a specification level to make it a great car to own and show. I haven’t totted up my spend over the last year or so but it must be getting close to 10k now, and the previous owner had spent over 7k ( invoices to include in the sale) I can send a full spec list to serious enquirers but briefly, it’s recently had : new hi-torque Wosp starter motor, new Ignition 123 electronic ignition distributor, malpassi fuel pressure regulator, facet silver top fuel pump, upgraded HT leads , alternator, upgraded battery , starter, headlamp, window relay wiring kits, powder coated bow tie wheels with as new Yokohama 205/60/13 tyres, fully retrimmed red leather interior, Fittipaldi leather steering wheel, Alpine radio cassette and 6 stack CD auto changer , twin headlamp upgrade using very good bmw e30 headlamp units and beta grille. The list goes on! Bodywork in very good order- floor sections replaced when it had a full body restoration in 1996, but had been dry stored since then at 52k, until 2023. Engine very healthy. Very few very minor tinkering jobs which i can go through in detail. Paintwork in very good order, bar the very occasional chip, blemish. Recently travelled over 400 mile round trip to Bicester Scramble A selection of standard fit parts will be included. Turns heads wherever it goes and the car won ‘car of the show’ at a local Classic car show in Yorkshire. The car is located in Harrogate. Ready to enjoy the Summer in!
